It was late last night. I was sitting here thinking about some of the email requests for help I get, especially one in particular. They seem to be doing all the right things, yet they were still in need..

A short sidetrack here:.. you will see why in a minute..

I have, what I call ‘Believing’ times. That is, I just sit quiet and ‘Believe’ - I don’t say a word.. just believe.. Believe all my needs are met.. believe that my prayers have been heard and answered.. believe I have received my healing or whatever the needs are.. I just believe.. I say in my heart “I believe you Lord, I believe that I have received my whatever and so on.. I usually do this for several minutes.. Then I will give thanks out of my mouth..

Now back to the story..

During one of these times of believing last night, I started to think about some of the email requests I receive, when out of the blue the Lord spoke: ~ He said:

His voice was tinged with sadness. I realised how badly He wanted to meet peoples needs but He was limited because they did not believe.. He wasn’t talking about the world but about His people..and as He did, answers came about a lot of the requests I receive.. So I picked up my pen and began to write as the Holy Spirit granted me grace..

I want to share it with you all, for that is why it came..

This is what I would (and do) in situations:

Faith is not what you believe but acting on what you believe: "Was not our Father Abraham justified by works (actions) when he offered up Isaac his son?"... and through his works was faith made perfect.. "I will show you my faith by my works.." - "Do you not know that faith without works (corresponding actions) is dead.." Book of James

HEALING: If you can do something physical, then do it.. IE: If I was lying in bed ill, I would do what the Word of God says in James5:14 "Are there any sick amongst you? Let them call upon the elders of the church and let them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord and the prayer of faith shall save (heal) the sick and the Lord shall raise them up and if they have committed sins, it shall be forgiven them" No maybes.. Just 3 ‘shalls’ - Then I would begin to praise God for my healing and THEN I would GET UP! (Only sick people are in bed! I have just been prayed for and Jesus promised He would heal/raise up and forgive me) So I get up praising God for my healing.. I am acting on what I believe.. and the healing manifests.. Why? "For He is Faithful Who promised"

FINANCES: After praying for some money, I would then act upon the Word of God. I would plant some seed for my need.. "God Who gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater, shall multiply your seed sown.." 2Cor9 ~ Jesus said "Give and it shall be given you" - He didn’t say ‘Pray’ He said “Give’..

If you don’t have anything to give, then ask Him for some seed to sow. "He that gives seed to the sower" - He WILL send it, or maybe you can make something and give it away. When the seed comes, (DON"T eat it!) ask Him WHERE to plant it. Jesus knows where the fish are! - Ask the Holy Spirit to help you, He knows where the good soil is.. (See my testimonies on the ‘Finances’ link on this site..) Then ‘believe' and give thanks..

Every day is a new day! "This is the DAY (not week) that the Lord has made.." - "His mercies are new every morning" (Not monthly) So every day, I would get quiet somewhere and ‘believe’ in my heart that He is multiplying the seed I have sown for say 10 minutes (I am not putting a time limit here, just showing you a principle.. ok) Then I would ‘give thanks’ "Thankyou Lord for multiplying my seed, thankyou for meeting my needs and so on.." - You ‘will’ know what and how to say it)

He told me a few weeks ago: "In desperate need, sow some seed" - Even Jesus needed the loaves and fishes to multiply to meet the needs of the people..

TESTIMONY: We give away free CD's on the Healing Scriptures. We understand the Law of Giving and Receiving. I recently asked the Lord for more seed to sow, as we were getting low on funds. A couple of days later, more requests for CD"S came by email!- That's our soil! - Then we set our Tithe and CD offerings before Him, with reverence and thanksgiving, in the name of Jesus, our High Priest. Now we are believing the seed (in this case, the CD's are being blessed and He is multiplying our seed) He is faithful! "Here you are son, good soil (in this case, people) where you can plant some seed in" Now, every day, I 'believe' and give thanks to Him..

JOB:I would pray for the job that His grace has prepared for me, not what I think I should have or want. Why? Because the Scripture says "The good things that God has (past tense) prepared for them that love Him" One is my works, the other is His grace.. Don’t know about you but I know which one I’d rather have! Then, after I had prayed (and believed) I would ask the Holy Spirit to help me. That’s why He came (and to glorify Jesus) Jesus said. "I will send you another comforter, helper, standby. counsellor)" BUT He won’t butt in. He is a perfect gentleman and patiently waits to be asked.. "Fear not, little flock, for it’s the Fathers good pleasure (gives Him great joy) to give you the kingdom" We can't earn it, and we certainly didn’t deserve it but because we believe (There’s that word again) He loves us. .. Jesus said "The Father Himself tenderly loves you, because you have believed on Me and believed that I came out from God" (notice how many ‘Believe’ words here too!)

It is "By grace (unmerited favour and enabling ability) are we saved (healed, delivered, made whole) through faith" (believing) Ephesians 2:8 This is God’s eternal principle. Why "That no flesh should glory in His presence" By grace are you healed by believing.. by grace do you receive the Holy Spirit by believing.. Get the idea? - Now act your faith and start looking for that Job He has prepared for you. Believing that He has heard you and answered..

Many years ago, I was reading the Scriptures "This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears and if we know He hears us, whatsoever we ask, we have the petitions we desired of him" 1John5:14-15 I read it again and I got to the bit "and if we know He hears us" - When the Lord stopped me and said "Do you KNOW God hears you son, or do you wonder?" - I had to admit and say.. "There are times when I wonder Lord"

Now ask Him for favour with your applications and 'believe' that He has heard you, ask the Holy Spirit to help you and the job WILL appear or something GOOD will happen.. He is Faithful and True..

I can remember one of the Old Time preachers. He was in a prayer meeting when he stopped everybody and said.. "OK.. we have done enough praying, let’s do some believing!" and the whole group sat there just ‘believing’ God.. within some 20 minutes, people started getting healed and blessed all over the place..

He said to me a couple of months ago when I was getting a bit discouraged.

"It’s SO easy to receive from God son, simply believe"

Now DON"T just say 'That was nice' - I want you to get this into your heart. It will change your life and put you in a postition to receive from Him for the rest of your days and enable you to 'Be a blessing' as He promised our father Abraham. Print it out, or bookmark it and read it over and over. Study the Scriptures and ask the Holy Spirit to help you. I am only a man and the best I can give you is information based on my 24 years with Jesus BUT the Holy Spirit will give you revelation! and that's when faith (and joy) comes!!
