Healing Testimony

Good day.
Sometime ago I requested your assistance in providing me with a CD of Healing Scriptures as I desperately needed help in praying for my sister-in-law who had full-blown AIDS. I inadvertently made a mistake in the address that I wrote and thus never did receive it. But, I was able to download the audio from your website and listened to it with my laptop at home. At the time, my sister-in-law was in a bad state – emaciated after developing TB, vomiting and suffering from diarrhea. She could not walk, talk coherently nor hold a pen in her hand and her thinking was rather muddled up. She was battling to breathe. Her feet were swollen and her stomach had an abnormal bulge. A recovery seemed impossible especially as many people’s bodies cannot cope with the toxicity of antiretroviral drugs. Blood tests revealed that her CD4 count was only 8! The disease had ravaged her body to an extent that those who knew her would speak in hushed tones – a clear acknowledgement in our culture of a dire situation when laughter and gaiety is frowned upon when death is at the door. It is regarded as an indecent thing to do so in the presence of the dying so all outward form of entertainment and laughter is banished and replaced with a solemn atmosphere. Very oppressive. I could sense the spirit of death lingering in my house with sickness being victorious. In my mind I almost imagined the devil hissing with laughter and poking fun at our belief in divine healing when such a belief could not be translated into practical help for the dying.
It was then that I determined to withstand the wicked one on the basis that Jesus went about doing good and healing all those who are oppressed by the devil for God was with him. Having seen these symptoms before (My brother in law died from AIDS –after his lungs collapsed he was placed on a ventilator for two months. He never did regain the use of his lungs again and the military – he was a soldier- instructed that the ventilatorbe turned off and he died) I knew that only a miracle could save her. Though she was infected due to her sinful lifestyle and brazen defiance of God – she was now helpless and indicated her remorse for having not listened when spoken to. She had made her peace with God and turned back to the Lord. I agreed with my wife and my parents-in-law (they are born-again and had cared for my sister-in-law when she fell sick. We had requested that she be brought over to our home as we wanted to pray more forcefully for her) that God will heal her and rebuked death and sickness. On a particular day, as I laid hands on her I had an urge to blow upon her. I did so and she immediately testified that her lungs which felt blocked and resulted in her breathing being labored, openedup and she was able to breathe normally.
Her appetite also returned and the dizziness left. The clinicthat treated her started her on a course of vitamins especially vitamin B to boost her appetite and thereby boost her body weight in preparation for her antiretroviral treatment. She started gaining weight and they put her on an retroviral course. Her latest CD4 count is 85 – a far cry from the paltry 8. The swelling in the legs has stopped. She has also regained all hermental faculties and is improving daily.
Her distended stomach was thought to be a result of pancreatic or kidney cancer. After being examined by a professor of oncology(at an academic hospital attached to the Pretoria University)this was ruled out as a probable cause. We continue to stand in the gap for her and she is also very grateful that God has given her a new lease on life.
