"Good morning!"

Q: "John.. Why are so many in the Body of Christ in poverty?"
A: Mainly because they don’t have revelation of God’s ways of doing things. God Himself said “My people are destroyed (cut off) through lack of knowledge.” Hos4:6 The more knowledge you have in your heart about Him and His ways, the more success you will have in life. That’s why God told Joshua to “meditate His Word night and day.. then you will make your way prosperous and then you will have good success” Jos1:8

Q: Do you really believe God wants to prosper His people under the New Testament?
A: Absolutely! God set His laws of ‘Seedtime and Harvest’ back in Genesis and He doesn’t change. The covenants changed but He hasn’t. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He provided for His people back then and He will do the same now. The Scripture in 3John2 confirms this. “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers" As your soul prospers through the knowledge of Him.. prosperity and health will start to spring forth.

Q: But why are some people more blessed than others?
A: Because they have a clearer understanding of His ways and walk in them. He is no respecter of persons. He loves us all the same. What He does for one, He will do for all. Whosoever will, can be partakers of His grace. Once you have a heart knowledge of His Word and start to act upon it, the doors will start to open for you.

Q: It seems like a lot of God’s people are even going hungry. What would you do if you lacked daily food?
A: Simply ask Him for some. The Scripture clearly states in second Corinthians 8 verse 9 .. that “He gives bread to the eater” Even what we know as the Lord’s prayer says “Give us this day our daily bread?” If you are suffering a lack of food, then simply ask Him for some, believe and give thanks.. It WILL come.. The keys here are .. First: To ask.. The Scripture clearly states in the book of James that “you have not because you ask not” ~ Then, when you have asked in Jesus name, believe He has heard and answered your prayers.. then give thanks and rejoice.. It’s on its way to you.. just keep believing until it arrives!

Q: About the ‘Sowing seed for your need” that you teach?
A: There’s nothing new about this. Oral Roberts taught this some 30 years ago. I had been ministering to people over the Internet and one of the main re-occurring needs was lack of finances. I was sitting at my desk thinking about this, when He clearly spoke to me about this principle. He said “In desperate need, sow some seed!” ~ So if you have a desperate need, sow some seed and trust God to bless it...

Q: ok.. But a lot would say.. “I am so broke and in debt, I don’t have any seed to sow!”
A: That’s ok.. God promised to provide ‘seed to sow’ too! First He gives you the seed to sow, then He shows you where to plant it, then He blesses and increases it and then multiplies it back to you!! What Grace!

Q: So what do you do to get seed?
A: Again.. Just ask God for it!

Q: What! as simple as that?
A: Yep.. It‘s as easy as saying.. “Heavenly Father, I ask you for seed to sow please and I thank you for sending it to me in Jesus name” ~ Just keep it simple and from the heart… don’t complicate things.. 2 Corinthians 9:8 clearly states that He ‘gives seed to the sower’ Just don’t ‘eat’ your seed when it arrives.. sow it!

Q: What do you do after you have asked Him for it?
A: Believe you have received it and give thanks.. everyday.. Mark 11:24 states that “what things soever you desire, when you pray, believe you have received them and you shall have them” ~ He IS Faithful.

Q: Why Everyday?
A: Because everyday is a new day in the Lord. We tend to look at it as just a continuation of our lives but God doesn’t. We tend to carry yesterdays baggage with us! God says to let it go! This is a new day! The Scriptures clearly state that:
“His mercies are new every morning” (not every week)
Jesus said, “Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof”
Another Scripture says, “This is the day that the Lord has made”

Q: How long does it take to get you?
A: It depends. Sometimes it has been a few days, sometimes weeks.. My job is to believe I have received it. I know it is coming, because He promised.. Jesus said it was His Father's good pleasure (that means it gives Him great joy) to give us the kingdom.. We can't 'earn' it, we certainly didn't deserve it.. We only have it because of what Jesus has done for us..

Q: How does the seed come?
A: All sorts of ways. For me, Sometimes I will get a request for one of my books, or maybe a healing CD, or sometimes I get an opportunity to give some money to someone. Sometimes He will also inspire you to do something.. like make something if you are handy.. and then after you have done that, He will show you someone to give it to! My healing CD’s are my ‘constant seed‘. I always give them away in faith and love and believe.

Q: What do you do when the harvest comes?
A: First I give tithes (a tenth) of it.. Then I enjoy some of it! Then I take some seed from it and sow again.. This is what I call 'extra' seed. I still keep believing Him for seed to sow and it keeps coming.. If you are a 'sower' you can keep asking Him for seed to sow!

Q: Can you give us an example of sowing seed?
A; Yes. One time I was down to my last $20. We supported a young lady through World Vision and her birthday was coming up and they wanted $5 to buy her some crayons and a book. My mind was starting to reason about this. I mean I only had $20 left! Then I sensed the leading of the Spirit, a prompting if you like, to do it. So I did. I gave joyfully..

Q: and..
A: Within a week, someone came over to our place and gave us a cheque for a $1000!

Q: That’s pretty amazing!
A: Well Yes.. and No.. – We tend to forget just Who our God is! He is the Most High. The Almighty. Plus He is our loving Heavenly Father Who sent Jesus to redeem us! This was a very small thing for Him to accomplish. I just acted upon His Word and followed the leading of His Spirit and believed.. He did everything else.

Q: How often do you plant seed?
A: About once a week if I can. If I want a constant harvest, I have to constantly plant seed.

Q: Are you looking to sow more often?
A: Absolutely.. My goal is to give and sow seed on a daily basis..

Q: What about praying for finances?
A: There is nothing wrong with praying for finances.. but you would have to ask yourself why so many of these prayers seem to go unanswered. I mean there must be millions of Christians in third world countries that are praying for them. It’s their number one need.

Q: So what do you suggest they do?
A: Easy.. The Lord never made things hard. Just start to act upon His Word and give thanks.. simple. He will teach you as you go along. Do the general instructions (the Bible) first and then the specific ones will come along.

Q: How do they do that?
A: Well, for one, I would start to sow some seed. Purpose in your heart to be a sower.. If you have just a dollar.. ask Him where to sow it. Jesus knows where the fish are. Also ask the Holy Spirit to help you. that’s why He came! Once you have sown (or given) joyfully.. just simply believe He is multiplying it back to you and give thanks until your harvest arrives.

Q: But a lot of countries are very poor. How can God get it to them?
A: Your country’s economy has nothing to do with it. Neither does it hinder God. Your job is to believe Him for it. He is God and nothing is impossible to Him. He’s on your side! In the Bible, He brought tons of water across a desert once for his people who prayed and believed Him.. This is major problem in poor countries. Many times people and ministries are brought up knowing nothing but poverty and look to the western world for money. Everything they need has already been prepared by His grace. All they have to do is plant some seed and believe God. He will multiply it back to you, regardless of your circumstances or the conditions around you.

Q: Does the harvest always come back to you in the form of money?
A: No! and I think that’s where a lot of us miss it. We think that it's the only means He uses. I have found over the years that it’s not. He can cause you to receive a promotion in your job.. or He will give you ideas! They may be ideas on how to improve things where you work, or ideas on how to make some money! ~ Don’t look to it coming back in money every time.. just keep your eyes on Him.

Q: So how do you know if it’s just your idea?
A: His ideas are different. They are usually the ‘ones’ that stick around for a while, that is, until you totally let go of it. I remember the story of a Negro brother in the Lord. He was very poor and was looking up at the Heavens in wonder one night and asked the Lord to show him how the Universe worked! The Lord spoke to Him and in essence said “Son, You wouldn’t understand how it worked but I will show you how a peanut works” The lord then went on to show him how to make a lot of money out of a peanut! It’s got nothing to do with our ability.. It’s all about His grace and what Jesus has done for us.. My advice is, that if you have an idea that doesn‘t seem to want to go away.. go and spend some time with Him until you ‘know that you know’ If it’s just you, it will very soon fade way, whereas if it’s of Him, it will grow stronger and stronger.. He may say.. “No, that’s not My idea but this one is!”

Another test I apply to find out whether it’s ‘just me’ or not, is.. I ask myself if ‘I’ can do this or not.. If the answer is "Yes.. easy".. then it’s usually not of Him! My thoughts are, if I can do it, then why do I need His help and wisdom.. He loves us and wants to be involved in all that we do!

Q: Why doesn’t it ‘just happen’? Surely He sees the needs?
A: Yes He does.. But He needs something to bless. (increase) His laws are already set in motion from Creation. Look at the example of Jesus and the multitude. Why didn’t He just pick up some sand and turn it into bread? The reason is that He needed something ‘freely given by man’ to bless. A little boys lunch, when blessed by Jesus, fed a multitude! The widow woman had to give Elisha her last meal willingly, then the miracle came.. The disciples gave Jesus the use of their boat one time and Jesus rewarded them with tons of fresh fish! Give and it shall be given, Jesus said.. He didn’t say ‘pray’.. He said ‘Give’

Q: What’s the difference between ‘works’ and ‘grace’ here?
A: This is very important to understand! The Bible says that God has, that’s past tense, prepared good things for them that love Him. I will give you an example. You may get a hold of this message and say.. “ok.. I know what I will do, I will go and give a dollar to that ministry over there!’ That is works and won’t get blessed.. It is full of ’I” ~ That statement is all about what ’I’ can do… Grace is all about that He has done.. “Rather, you should say.., “Lord where do you want me to sow this seed” Now you are entering into His grace and rest.. You have humbled yourself and getting Him involved. He will show you where and what to do with it..

Q: How do I get faith for this?
A: Easy.. Romans10:17 states that “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God” It‘s the ONLY way faith comes ~ Find the Scriptures and meditate upon them for a few days and you will find that faith will start to rise in your heart.

Q: How do you know when faith has come then?
A: Listen to what you say! Jesus said.. “If you had faith you should say to this mountain..” So we see here that faith speaks.. If you keep meditating upon the Word of God, then your speech will start to change.. Jesus also said “from the abundance, or overflow, of the heart, the mouth speaks” If you put His Word into your heart by meditating upon it, after a few days, it will start to flow our of your mouth…. You could currently be saying something like.. “Why doesn’t God meet my needs? Why am I broke all the time?“ ~ Now.. When faith has come, your speech will change and you will say “ Thankyou Jesus for meeting all my needs, Thankyou for giving me this day my daily bread!“ Faith has come in your heart and things will start to change..

Q: Can you totally live life like this?
A: Yes, you can live totally in God’s economy, once you find out His ways of doing things. It never fails and never changes. The Problem is, we have been brought up on the worlds system.. We have to learn to transfer out of the “Laws of Commerce” or the “Law of Buying and Selling” and enter into the law of Sowing and Reaping, The Law of Giving and Receiving’ ~ God is called ‘El Shadai” or ‘The Breasty One’ in the Old Testament. He is the God Who is described as being ‘more than enough’ ~ All we have to do is act upon His Word in faith and what His grace has prepared, will come into being for us.

Q: What about your ministry? Haven’t you got a church or people who back you?
A: No.. not one that I know of. We don’t have a congregation and we have to live by faith or we sink! The world certainly isn’t going to help us spread the gospel either!

Q: Did God give you something special concerning finances?
A: Yes, although I am nobody special. I was praying one evening for those in desperate need of finances when He stopped me..

Q: He actually ‘stopped’ you from praying???
A: Yes.. It’s the only time in 25 years that I can remember this happening! He said.. “Son, you can’t pray that way about finances but you can pray this” and He gave me a simple prayer for finances that can be prayed everyday

Q: Can anybody pray this prayer?
A: Yes.. anyone.. When He gave it me, I recognised that it was based on the Scripture “The wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just” I have a free copy of it on my website ( www.jrministry.org ) that anyone can print our straight from the screen.

Q: Do you have anything else for those out there that want more information on how to receive finances from the Lord?

Q: What final piece of advice would you give to anyone thinking about doing this?
A: Firstly, find all the Scriptures that pertain to finances and spend at least 3 days meditating upon them. Make little cards you can pull out of your pocket and read them over and over. Combine this with prayer and praise for the 3 days.. You will find that ‘revelation’ of these Scriptures will start to arise in your heart and faith will come.. Then start to act upon them by sowing seed.

We serve an awesome God! I was going through a financial challenge which God turned around to increase my faith and give him Glory. I sowed a seed and I prayed and spent time Praising and Thanking Him for the Victory and I didn't doubt in my heart that God would answer me.

"If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us and if we know He hears us, whatsoever we ask, we have the petitions we desired of him" 1John5:14-15

I had to pay over $4,000 to save my home...which I didn't have the total amount and God made a way and He Bless me with the exact amount I needed and made a way for me. The Lord will never leave us nor forsake us!! Prayer changes things.
