There is a
resistance to your faith..
Ever wondered why, sometimes, it seems so long to
get an answer to your prayers?
"When they went to possess the land I had
given them, they met resistance from the enemy. They had to fight
to possess what it was My good pleasure to give them.
You don't have to fight to possess the
land as they did, for you are Abraham's seed. You just have
to believe you receive what you ask for. You will meet resistence
from the enemy (Your enemy is the devil, not people) who will try
to stop you possessing what I have promised you...
The enemy will try to steal the Word and your
faith but if you resist him in the name of Jesus, he will flee
from you because Jesus has given you victory over
him!"
"You WILL have to fight the good fight of
faith"
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
"and he showed me Joshua, the high priest,
standing before the angel of the Lord and satan standing at his
right hand to resist him.. Zechariah3:1-2
"Fight the good fight of faith"
1Timothy6:12
"What things soever you ask in prayer
believing, you shall receive them" Mark11-24
"If you are Christ's, then are you
Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise"
Galatians3-29
A lot of us haven't realised the benefits and
blessings of being Abraham's seed. Yes, we are the sons of
God through faith in Jesus Christ but Jesus took upon Himself the
seed of Abraham, so we could be blessed too! "For He took
not upon Himself the nature of angels but of the seed of
Abraham.." ~ Abraham received the promises of God through
believing what God had said.. We can too!
Even though God had promised them a land the
'flowed with milk and honey' ~ There was a problem. The
land was full of giants, walled cities and a lot of other reasons
that stood in the way. Most of the spies who returned from spying
out the land gave 'an evil report' of the land.. Joshua
and Caleb on the other hand, believed what God had promised and
figured Him to be bigger than the giants! ~ Read Numbers13:25-33
and Chapter4:1-29
Daniel chapter 10, gives us a good insight as to
what is going on 'behind the scenes'~ Daniel had set
himself to pray for 3 weeks about a situation.. At the end of 21
days, an angel appeared with the answer.. plus an explanatation
as to why it took so long! ~ "for from the first day you did
set your heart to understand, I was sent to thee" So we see
his prayer was heard straight away.. but .."the prince of
the kingdom of Persia withstood me (got in his way) 21 days but
lo, Michael, one of the chief princes came to help me.." The
answer to Daniels prayer was hindered until help came and they
broke through.. The apostle Paul said.. "I would have come
to you once and again but satan hindered me.." ~ Paul
wanted to get to some of the churches but things didn't work
out.. He was hindered, impeded in his desire..
BUT.. instead of him resisting us.. We are told..
"Be subject to God, resist the devil and he will flee from
you!" The word 'resist' also means.. 'to
oppose' or 'to get in the way of' ~ I like
that! I can get in the devils way and if I stand in faith, he
can't shift me! ~ plus the Bible says, that when I do this..
the devil will flee from me.. The word 'flee' means
'to flee as in terror' ~ Stand you ground in the name of
Jesus Christ, believe your prayers are heard and answered, praise
God for the victory and the enemy will get out of your
way!
The Bible is full of the wonderful promises of
God. We simply have to 'believe we have received them' as
Jesus said.. "Fear not, little flock, for it is the Fathers
good pleasure (gives Him great joy!) to give you the
Kingdom" ~ "Ask and you shall receive, that your
joy be made full"
God wants us full of joy, not cares and
worry!
Testimony, for the glory
of God:
Hi John,
How are you?
I had to give the situation and time spent in prayer with God, my
full attention... I have been praying the prayers you sent to me
and standing in faith. I would like to thank you for the response
and the prayers that you sent to me, that along with the
testimony of your victory, was a God send and God Blessed me
with the victory and He is allowing me to continue to be a
faithful steward over His property here. Again, I would like to
say Thank you for your prayers and may God Bless you!
Love,
Tracey
